Best of Hiking Rental & Test Centre

"Best of Wandern" is an association of 9 hiking regions in Germany, Austria, Belgium and Switzerland that offer hiking enjoyment far away from mass tourism and the hustle and bustle. For more than 15 years, the experience cooperation has been inspiring hikers all over Europe. The special thing about the service: In the test centres of the partner regions, you can borrow equipment from leading outdoor manufacturers free of charge and try it out on your tours.

The test centre of the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park Region is located in the old barn at the campsite. Here you have the opportunity to test hiking boots, clothing, trekking poles, rucksacks, etc. and try out the high-quality equipment directly on site during a hike.

All items are available in large quantities. Reservations by telephone are recommended to ensure that, for example, the desired shoe size is not already on the Saar-Hunsrück Climb or a dream loop on the day of the hike.
